Lukas Trip

Up And Coming

What is New?

Who is Lukas Trip?

I actually personally know him and he is a really great person. Here is what he had to say:

"My name is Ryan Todd. I'm a vocalist/rapper that goes by the name "Lukas Trip". I'm from Toledo Ohio but have lived in Temperance Michigan for the past 6 years. I'm 18 years old and have been making music since I was about 13. I started rapping around September/October of 2017, and before that, I was the lead singer in multiple punk and metal bands. I take a lot of inspiration from emo and alternative genres as well as the style of "new wave" rappers such as Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty, Lil Peep, and many others to form my own unique sound. I grew up with a split family and around the age of 12, my birth mother stopped being a part of my life, bringing up feelings of worthlessness, depression, and confusion. At the beginning of 2015, my stepmom passed away. She was in my life and helped raise me since I was 3 years old. I grew up with 2 half-siblings, all from different moms. One of them is my older brother named Cory and the other is my younger sister named Kara. Cory makes most of my rap beats and records me. It's a lot of fun to be able to make music with my brother. I used to have a lot of problems with focusing and in kindergarten, I was diagnosed with ADHD and took a zombie-fying amount of meds until I was about 12. I like to use music as a way of expression, to express all of the feelings I have inside in the best way I know possible. It's like a form of therapy for me. I'm releasing my debut solo/rap album titled "Insomnia" sometime this year, although I'm not sure on a release date yet. So be on the lookout. Below are some links to my profiles, my music, and my newest single "enuff". Enjoy!"

My Thoughts:

Listening to his music is actually quite interesting. I knew he had talent, but I didn't actually know how much. He has a unique sound and you should totally check him out if you have the chance because his work is great. He has a spark when the music hits, and once you hear it and it progresses you'll understand and see how great his music is.

Bone Folder

A Band Of 5

No automatic alt text available.Who are they?

A friend of mine gave me a little tip to check them out and I did. They are a local band from where I'm from and that's a plus in itself right? They also have a lot of shows they have been at and gained a lot of support. I didn't really know much about the band to begin with, but as I listen to their music you can just tell there's a spark there. They are a five-piece and they actually surprised me.

The Members:

Vocals - Ben
Guitar - Will335
Guitar - Benji
Bass - Pat
Drums - Jas Panic

I got their bandcamp information so i started there and the first thing I noticed was their titles of their songs. The theme of their album correlated with what they say which is a major success in my books. The song names intrigued me so much I had to listen to each song about 5 times each because I just really wanted to go in depth. I actually picked my favorites off the track listing because I really liked them and they stood out.

My favorites:

Lambs to the Slaughter

Death's hand

March in line

My thoughts:

They are really cool I like how the music corolates wih their theme and I enjoyed listening to their music. I also really like how they name their songs as well because that's what drew me in and made me want to hear more. I like that they created their music themselve. If you check out their bandcamp(linked below) they wrote all but track 10 which is insanely awesome.
Due to the Punk type of feel which is what I grew u on I totally dig it. I like the feel of the music as you listen to it because it makes you want to get shit done with your day. I found it really relaxing to listen to this while typing an 8 page paper and doing a bunch of other essays that are due in the coming week. I really need to thank my friend because I probably wouldn't have much motivation to do anything. I think you should seriously check them out because if you want something good to listen to this is it.

(They are having an even coming up so if you feel like checking it out I will link the event below)

Holland

What lies between the lines...

Image result for holland kpop idol

Who is Holland?

A newly debuted artist who rocked the Korean music industry with such a powerful song, and a song that changed the perspectives of artists in the industry. Holland has Debuted as the first openly gay Kpop Idol. Which is huge, because the industry itself is very inclusive, as other artists in the Kpop industry are very supportive of the LGBT community. He is the ifrst Kpop Idol to debut as gay, but others have come forward and opened up about themselves and it's so beautiful that there is an increase in acceptance.

The debut was phenomenal. His song has such a deep meaning once you listen to the lyrics and translate them it's just beautiful. He wants to be there for kids who are struggling and do not feel accepted and wanted. He wants to prove they matter, and this song really shows that. For him to do something like this is the reason why diveristy is continuing to grow, and it's beautiful. He doesn't have other songs out yet so I am only going off his debut single, but I am sure he will have more music coming out soon. As for right now....this is Holland.

My Thoughts

It has such a beautiful concept, and once you see the video you will understand why he is so unique. His voice is rare and even though he only has one song out so far his voice is so beautiful. I honestly want to see how much more music he creates because his tone of voice is so unique and I love it. I love that he is also proud of who he is and spreading the message to other kpop fans and other artists that it's okay to be who you are and don't let anyone bring you down. I think the Korean music industry is stepping in the right direction with this Kpop Idol. I would completely reccomend you to listen.

Population Control is a 4-piece hardcore punk band formed in 2016 from Toledo Ohio.
Winfield Thomas-Vocals
Jake Hayes-Drums
Nathan Randolph-Guitar
Jared Owens-Bass
The band started as a 3-piece with Coty Vespo on drums. The three had about a year of shows going starting in Summer 2016.
After Coty decided to leave the group, Jake was added on drums, and Nathan joined the group on guitar.

My Thoughts

As a whole, I like the way the instruments go together in a nice flow. I also wish that the vocalist said more because he writes all the songs himself which is amazing. I just found that their sound is really unique, and I wish their songs were extended for a longer period of time because they seem so short and I want to hear more. I think they have real potential to be something great, as long as they keep working and creating new content more often. They have events coming out soon so I will link their band page below.

The War (The Power Of Music) Album review

EXO

A worldwide sensation coming to life...

Exo originally had 12 members, then went to 9, and then went to 8 within the last year alone.

(Lay is currently doing solo promotions so he did not participate in the album)

July 18th the War album was originally digitally sold, but I was told to live the experience instead of listening to Apple Music or Pandora. So I went over and purchased the Album repackaged which means it looks like the first photo instead if the second. The Power of music album came out in September..months later with extra songs and a lot of photos.

When you get the receive the album it is a bit overwhelming because there is a lot of stuff in there, but I mean it is worth the price. You pay around $20-35 for the album(Shipping varies depending on location) The best news is that it doesn't just come in Korean, but it also comes in Chinese.

What it comes with:

■ 1 CD + 1 Graphic Novel Comics (Random 1 Page out of 10 Pages) + 16 Character Cards + 4 Double cards + 1 Group Card + 1 Manual + 1 Random Card (Random 1 out of 16)
■ Comes with Folded Poster
■ Comes with Extra Photocards Set
■ Ships from Korea, Republic of

My Favorite Songs on Album:

- The Eve
- Ko Ko Bop

All the songs are good on the album but those are my favorite because of the beat and tone of their voices as well as the catchiness.

(The music will be linked below)

Here's my conclusion:

Should you buy the album?

- If you are a fan and would like to purchase it then by all means of course but beware it sells out fast because it is a popular album. I personally buy albums just because so honestly you get more than what you paid for. If you don't want to spend the money on an album it's totally understandable, but you can find them on Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, and so much more!

They do not have their own channel, but they are under a company labeled SM entertainment so I will link one of their videos down below, so you can go to the main page and search them up and find what you like.

Here is where to find them:

A WAR WITHIN

A WAR WITHIN

Not too far, but not too close. Detroit, which isn't too far away, but this is where their journey began.

Can I just say wow.... like seriously

Just give me like 5 seconds.....

Originally composed of 5 members and changing gradually overtime this band has been making themselves their own name in the music industry in the Alternative Metal and Rock band, but that doesn't stop them from breaking boundaries such as covers such as Logic ft. Alessia Cara an Khalid's 1-800-273-8255, or Ed Sheeran's Shape of you, and lets not forget about Justin Timberlake. They did that too.
They create original music as well. There latest video is Wallflower which is actually the first video featured below. They start off super strong and then the whole dynamic changes into this powerful rush of energy in a sense. If you go to their YouTube Channel (Linked Below) They leave their lyrics in the description box. When you read the lyrics, then listen to the songs it makes everything have more meaning.

The Members...

Spencer Maybe

Nikhil Rao

Zac Bardsley

Roy Guldenpfennig

At First

I listen to many songs on the daily, but I have never heard a voice like that. Like I just can't describe it. The fluidity and versatility just blows my mind like wow. The sound is unique and they just have something special about them. The are in the Itunes and google play music for music to, unless you're me and have Apple Music which is a subscription to stream their music. I had a Conversation with Roy actually and he is probably the most in depth person I have ever had a conversation with when it comes to music and I spent hours talking to him about his band and other bands that influence A War Within. Roy Gave me all their music links, so I spent a hot minute listening and checking things out. Since I am open to all kinds of music, and this is a general type of music that I listened to. I knew it was worth it.

P.S THEY ARE A PART OF THE VAN'S WARPED TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some Videos :

My Thoughts:

Each video and song has a different concept, and not only that they preform covers too of different songs, and it's just wow... It carries so much emotion, and just wow, and lets just say you shouldn't be playing music on your speakers that loud when everyone in your house is asleep. I am one of those people who listens to songs on repeat because I deconstruct the emotion from the beat to the rhythm on the guitar. I listen to new things everyday and I love the raw emotion the group brings as a whole.
Lets all just take a moment to appreciate that this band is relatively local. Seriously, go check them out they are amazing each and everyone of them. They all contribute in a small part but create an even bigger goal.
